  • Felix Nicha, a bachelor of dental surgery year four student, said dentistry is a very hands-on practical course and missing classes and non-functional clinics demotivates them.

According to them, materials are scarce and they now fail to understand the reason behind the money not being utilised in the clinic.

"Our lives are already hard, we do not need to be on the streets but should be in the clinic or library studying," noted Nicha.

Evalyne Wesiko, a fourth-year student at the institution, narrated her devastation that their parents have paid fees, but the institution has failed them.

"We want the VC to avail the funds for purchase of materials, we do not know the fate of our studies at the moment, for dental school, we examine patients and they do pay for these services," Wesiko lamented.
