Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko threw a swanky birthday party for his lastborn daughter, Sandra.

The UK-based student recently returned to Kenya to celebrate her special day with her loved ones.

The birthday girl looked gorgeous in a red dress and makeup, while the rest of the guests wore white.

Sonko's wife, Primrose, and their children, Satrine and Gift, were present for the celebrations.
The newest addition to the family, James, was the centre of attention.
The young boy lost his father, a construction worker, after alleged thieves killed him while escorting him to school.
James's plight touched the politician, who adopted him.

Sonko and James were twinning in white outfits with caps for the celebrations.
Sandra took the opportunity to bond with her brother.
James also had a toy gun, which he carried around and imagined firing at different things.
A video showed the boy next to a fish tank with Sandra. James showed Sadra the different fish as they conversed. The birthday girl eagerly spoke to James as their doting mother recorded them.
She then asked him what the different items in the house were.
Sonko showed James a portrait of himself and his wife and asked whether he recognised them.
He sweetly called them mum and dad.
Kenyans were touched by the video and wished blessings upon Sonko’s family while appreciating his accommodating wife.
